Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the library known as Centerville-Center Township Public Library (the “Library”) that the Wayne County Council (the “Council”) will meet in the Wayne County Administration Building at 401 East Main Street, Richmond, Indiana, at the hour of 8:00 a.m. (local time) on May 1, 2024, to consider the following additional appropriation which the Board considers necessary to meet the need existing at this time:
An appropriation in the amount of $1,215,000 on account of the renovation of and improvements to Centerville-Center Township Public Library, including site improvements and the purchase of equipment and technology, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with said project. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the sale of real estate to a not for profit Library Leasing Corporation.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary library facilities in the library.
Taxpayers of the Library appearing at said meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to said additional appropriation.
