In accordance with the guidelines provided by the Wayne County Health Department, Centerville Public Library is taking preventative actions to do our part to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. The library is canceling all in person events, programs, and use of public meeting rooms until further notice.
We have missed seeing you and we thank you for your understanding during this challenging time. We would also like to thank the unwavering dedication of our community helpers; the first responders, essential store and factory workers, truck drivers, and meal providers, and also those who are staying home during this pandemic.
While our building is not open, the Centerville Public Library is working to provide digital services and resources to our community. WiFi is available 24 hours/day, does not require a password, and reaches to our parking lot. Our website features access to digital and audio books, educational enhancements, fun activities, and valuable information for all ages. Through INSPIRE, anyone can use numerous databases for free.
If you need a library card, sign up here for a temporary card to access e-books and audio books.
Our first virtual storytime will be on May 13 at 10 a.m. through our Facebook page. Watch for information on more upcoming programming!
While safety remains our top priority for our staff and for the public, our mission is to provide the services that you, our patrons, deserve. We look forward to providing more services to you in the upcoming days.
Stay safe, and stay well!
